Barbaro Mojo began in 2015 when Mario Cruz, a Miami-born Cuban, wanted to add fire to his Noche Buena pig roast. What started as a family secret has become a cultural revival of Cuban hot sauce traditions.
The name ‘Bárbaro’ honors Santa Barbara, patron of Miami, while ‘Mojo’ celebrates the Cuban marinade that flavors every sauce. Our Scoville scale ranges from mild Jalabáo™ to Matanza™, the hottest limited-edition blend.
Today, Barbaro Mojo is grown, harvested, and bottled in Miami. We partner with local farmers and use Mario’s original recipes to bring you gluten-free, vegan, and 100% authentic Cuban heat.
